Scope of this policy
BarnesNest LLC (“BarnesNest”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) operates barnesnestpros.com to recruit contractors ahead of our launch on September 3, 2026. This policy applies only to this site and the contractor outreach we run from it. It is a separate service with its own database.
The BarnesNest marketplace at barnesnest.com is governed by its own policies, which cover accounts, jobs, and payments. If you go on to create a marketplace account, see barnesnest.com/privacy and barnesnest.com/terms.
This site is not intended for anyone under 18.
Information we collect
If you fill in the registration form on this site, we collect the information you enter: your full name, business name, email address, phone number, city, ZIP code, primary trade, the services you offer, your years of experience, and any message you write.
The form requires a consent checkbox before it will submit, and we store the date and time you checked it. The wording you agree to is:
“I agree to the Terms and Privacy Policy, and consent to BarnesNest contacting me by phone, email, or text about jobs.”
Profiles we build from public sources
Most contractors in our database did not fill in our form. We build profiles from publicly available sources, and this is the larger group of the two. Sources include Thumbtack listings, Google Places, and Michigan permit and licence records.
Information gathered this way typically includes a business name, trade, service area, and publicly listed contact details. We then send email and text messages inviting you to claim that profile. If you were contacted this way, you did not opt in, and you can tell us to stop and to delete the profile at any time. See your choices and deletion requests.
How we use information
- To contact you about joining BarnesNest, by email, text message, or phone.
- To let you claim, correct, or complete a profile we built for you.
- To match you to work in your trade and service area when we launch.
- To keep a record of consent, opt-outs, and deletion requests.
- To operate and improve this site, and to respond to your questions.
SMS and text messaging
We send text messages from +1 (313) 306-8702, a registered 10DLC number. Messages are about joining BarnesNest, claiming your profile, and work matched to your trade.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help.
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent with third parties for marketing purposes.
Opting out of text messages does not remove you from email. To stop all contact, see your choices and deletion requests.
Email outreach
We send email from outreach@barnesnestpros.com. Every outreach email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops further email from us. You can also reply to any message and ask us to stop.
Your choices and deletion requests
- Text messages: reply STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help.
- Email: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or write to us.
- All contact: email privacy@barnesnest.com and ask us to stop contacting you.
- Deletion: email privacy@barnesnest.com with your business name and the phone number or email we contacted you on, and ask us to delete your profile. This applies whether you registered yourself or we built the profile from public sources.
- Corrections: write to us and we will update or remove the details you identify.

Security
We restrict access to contractor information to people who need it to run this site and our outreach.
We keep contractor information for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or until you ask us to delete it. Some records may be retained where required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the date at the top of the page. Continuing to use this site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
